President Donald Trump attended and spoke at his first national prayer breakfast, a yearly event held on the first Thursday in February. He talked about how he valued the men and women of the U.S. military, how his administration would continue the fight against terrorism, and that he hoped the U.S. would always be a place where religious liberty would be allowed to flourish.

British Prime Minister Theresa May answered questions from parliamentary colleagues, including Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn. Several questions concerned her plan for the U.K. to leave the European Union and on her upcoming trip to the U.S. to meet with President Donald Trump and Republican members of Congress. In a fiesty exchange, Opposition Leader Jeremy Corbyn praised the efforts of the Women’s March in the U.S. and other countries and warned the prime minister to press Mr. Trump on several issues including his comments about women and on trade. Former Labour Party Leader Ed Miliband also asked the prime minister to challenge the president on abiding by the Paris Climate Agreement, saying that climate change is not a hoax invented by China.
President Donald Trump Attends Inauguration National Prayer Service At The National Cathedral

President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence and their families attended the 58th Presidential Inauguration National Prayer Service at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. The interfaith service traditionally held the morning after the inauguration featured prayers and readings from religious leaders of many faiths, along with musical performances. The service marked the end of the official inaugural schedule.
